How to delete my revision?
On the website, expand the player panel and click the revisions button to open the Revisions list. Locate the trash icon for the latest active revision you created, click it, and confirm. You can delete that revision only within 24 hours of uploading it.

How to delete my tab?
On the latest Android app, open the tab list with your own tabs, swipe left on the tab row, and tap the trash icon. If you do not see the trash icon, update Songsterr from Google Play first; the Android delete option is available in current versions. On desktop web, open your tab on songsterr.com, click the “Edit” button at the bottom right, click the trash can icon in the row above the player panel, and confirm. You can only delete tabs you created. If someone else edited the tab and the delete button is missing, contact support with the tab link.

How can I cancel my Plus subscription (unsubscribe)?
If you subscribed on songsterr.com, cancel from your Account there.
To stop renewal of a Google Play subscription linked to your Songsterr account, sign in to your Account on songsterr.com, choose Cancel subscription, and confirm with I still want to cancel. Plus stays active until the paid-through date shown after cancellation.
You can also cancel in Google Play: profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Songsterr → Cancel subscription. Use the Google Account used for the purchase. Open Google Play subscriptions.
For an App Store subscription, cancel in your Apple account: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Songsterr → Cancel Subscription. Apple subscriptions cannot be canceled on the Songsterr website.

Monthly payments are the only option at the moment.

How can I update my credit card?
For a Stripe-billed subscription, open Account and select Manage subscription to change your payment card. For an active older Braintree subscription, select Update card on Account. For a Google Play or App Store subscription, manage payment methods in the Google or Apple Account that pays for it.

This can happen if your credit card has expired. You can resubscribe on the Songsterr Plus page. The current monthly price is shown before you subscribe, and you can enter your updated card details there.

Afterward, you'll be able to sign in with your account on all platforms and access the paid features.

On the website, expand the player panel and select Open drum notation, or press Alt+L. On Android, tap the drum map icon in the second row of the playback toolbar. On iPhone and iPad, open a drum track and tap Drum Notation in the player panel.

Is there a way to switch tracks automatically?
In many songs, the part of one guitar is split across several tracks because different effects are applied (e.g., clean guitar - distortion guitar - clean guitar). With Track Autoswitch, you don’t need to switch tracks manually when the current part pauses. Turn on AI track autoswitch in the mixer panel on the website or iOS app when eligible tracks are available. On Android, use Auto-switch track in the Mixer.

How to mute all tracks?
Most browsers allow users to mute the audio playing in one of the browser's tabs:
- Google Chrome displays a little speaker icon on any browser tab that is currently playing audio. To mute the audio for a tab, right-click the tab and choose Mute site
- Microsoft Edge. Simply click the audio icon or right-click the tab to choose Mute from the drop down menu.
- Safari. Click the Audio button in the Smart Search field.
- Firefox displays a speaker icon on the tab making noise, and you can click it to mute the audio of that tab without switching to it. You can also right-click the tab and choose Mute Tab.

Chord signs and lyrics are added by transcribers. Unfortunately, not that many users add them. If chord signs and lyrics are present in transcription we do show them. We are thinking of ways to motivate users for better transcriptions.

I play piano. How can I use your tabs?
Unfortunately, guitar tabs don't make much sense for piano and wind instrument players. Some tabs have tracks for these instruments but they're only useful if you want to learn how to play these parts on guitar. On the website, you can switch the player from Tab to Sheet view to see standard music notation instead of tablature (this view is not available in the mobile apps).

What can Songsterr AI transcribe?
Paste a YouTube link or upload an audio file, and Songsterr AI turns the song into an interactive tab in minutes. It writes separate tracks for rhythm and lead guitar, bass, drums and vocals, plus piano, keys and synth, strings and winds. The tab plays along with the recording you used: your audio file, or the YouTube video while it is available. Try it on the New tab page.

Yes. Piano comes as sheet music on two staves. If you prefer one staff, choose it in Show settings → Instruments → Adjust before you start. Keys, organ and synth parts are transcribed too.

Yes. In Show settings → Instruments → Adjust, turn on Rhythm guitar and Lead guitar, and each part gets its own track: learn the riff and the solo separately and play along with either one.

We cannot make a refund from our side since your subscription is managed by iTunes.

If you have an active paid subscription but the app does not provide full access, do the following:
1. Make sure you have the latest version of the app.
2. Open the Plus subscription screen and tap “Restore purchase” using the Apple ID that bought the subscription.
3. If this does not help, open FAQ, tap Contact support, and send us a message with Attach logs left on. The logs help us fix the problem.

This can happen if you are trying to sign in from the Songsterr app using your Apple ID. Actually you don't need to sign in to use the app. Your paid subscription is managed by Apple App Store — not Songsterr. Signing in is only needed to use your subscription on other platforms and to sync favorites between devices. If you don't have an account on Songsterr you need to sign up first.

Yes. Tabs and chords that you open while online are cached and also work offline. Playback audio is cached separately: press Play while you are online and stay online until the whole track has downloaded. Each playback speed, solo/mute mode and instrument is cached on its own, so play the ones you will need. Original audio (YouTube) is not available offline.

How can I add a new tab?
You can add a new tab via the New Tab button. On desktop, the button is in the bottom navigation bar. You can start in two main ways:
- Transcribe tabs with AI. Songsterr can generate a draft tab from a YouTube link or an uploaded audio file.
- Create a blank tab. Start from scratch and use the Songsterr Editor to write the tab yourself.
After the tab opens, you can edit it in the Songsterr Editor and submit it for publication.

Can I fix mistakes in tabs?
You can improve existing tabs by editing them in the Songsterr Tab Editor or by using AI Transcribe to create a new draft.

How to use Tab Editor?
Press E to activate the Tab Editor. To correct a note, simply click on it with the left mouse button. This action will open the context editing menu. You can navigate through notes using the arrow keys on your keyboard. Change a note by typing digits from 0 to 9, or delete it using the backspace key. On the website, changes save automatically as a private draft. Wait for Saved before reloading or closing the page. If saving fails, keep the page open. If the browser asks whether to leave, choose to stay to avoid losing unsaved changes.

Can I get in trouble for copyright infringement?
Absolutely no. Songsterr is 100% legal. We have licenses with original music creators and pay out almost half of our revenue as royalties. So, you can safely either transcribe the tab yourself or upload it from a third-party source.

There is no way to restore favorites if you've used the app without signing in. Sign Up for a free Songsterr Account. And sign in from within the app to backup your favorites to our servers and prevent this problem from happening in the future.

Can I organize my Favorites into playlists?
Yes. Playlists are free with a Songsterr account. On the website: open My tabs → Playlists to create one. In Favorites, use a song’s three-dot menu and choose Add to playlist. On the website, if adding a song to a playlist or removing it cannot be saved, the change is undone and an error notification names the song and playlist. If the connection fails, check your internet connection and try again. On iPhone and iPad, version 10.4 or later: open My Tabs → Playlists to create a playlist. On iPhone, My Tabs is in the bottom tab bar; on iPad, select the star icon in the left song-list sidebar. Swipe right on a song and tap Playlists to manage its playlists. On Android: swipe left on a song in Search or My Tabs → Contributions, then tap Add to playlist.

How can I delete my account?
On songsterr.com, sign in and open Account → Security & data → Delete my account, then confirm with I’m sure, delete my account. This works for free and Plus accounts, including accounts with active paid access.
Deleting your account ends access immediately, including the remaining paid Plus time, and does not automatically refund past payments. We delete the account only after confirming that subscription auto-renewal has stopped. If we cannot confirm this, your account is kept and an error is shown. For an App Store subscription, cancel auto-renewal in your Apple account first.
To use your remaining paid time, cancel auto-renewal and keep your account until the paid period ends. Android users can delete their account through the website. If you need help, email support@songsterr.com.
