Down half a step

Notes: The first note, and probably the most important is that to play this song, first you must tune

guitar down by a half step to Eb Bb Gb Db Ab Eb. I have transcribed it in the correct key as on the album

single versions, which means that if you have the single with the acoustic version on it, you can play it also since the acoustic mix has the similar, if not, same music as the album version.

For the album version, use two guitars; one (the lead) with distortion, one (the rhythm) with

Listen to the track and listen out for where the distortion comes in! Otherwise, play the acoustic mix

a lone guitar and soloing using vocal humming!

The F chord (really the Fb chord when tuned half a step down), is a transition chord and should

be played for as long as the other chords.

Make sure you include a lot of muting with the "fret" hand between chord changes.

There is not much left for me to say, only that this song never fails to brighten up my gloomy

Now go get the track and play along!! :)

IMPORTANT:

In this transcription, I have written all the chords you exactly need to play... Play them in

correct position and don't forget that you are now tuned down half a step!

Notes: See the notes in the previous version also!

In this version you MUST tune your guitar down half a step to Eb Bb Gb Db Ab Eb... There is no way of

this if you want the song to sound the same as on the album!! This time play the chords shown, but as if

guitar were standardly tuned to E B G D A E... For example, if you see an E in the transcription, what you are really playing is Eb (since you are tuned down), but play it in the "E" position, O22100

Well that's all folks!!!

It's not a difficult song, but it can sound really good with the correct settings... Have fun... See ya

Chords used:

Tune all strings down

  half-step to

C# X43121 or 9 11 11 10 9 9

I'd recommend using the bar chords, as you just have to

stick with the one chord shape and slide it down the neck

There's a key change in the solo, and in the bit where the

"forgotten dream" is repeated. I've kept the same chords

as elsewhere, but if anyone knows what the missing chords

are, mail me.
